Two days, two movies that start with the word "The..." - weird. This independent film came out almost two years ago and HULU now has it streaming online. Two former baseball players make their way across an American wilderness while fending off the walking dead. The two "friends" become increasingly intolerant of one another as they make their way. There are no real redeeming characters here, every one they meet is evil, selfish or at the end of their rope. In other words, it's probably what it would really be like if you and one of your friends got caught out in a field as zombies ravaged the earth.
It's a pretty quick, straight-forward trip. Reportedly made for about $6000, you could do a lot worse in this day and age. Oh, and the ending involves the two friends in their car, a horde of the undead, and some lost car keys. Yikes.
