1/48 Su-27...further work...and some strategy...

Intakes glued in, flaps together, getting there...



And now a little preemptive strategy...the last one I completed, the Mig-29...the nose wasn't weighted enough and the back end falls...so with the Flanker, I'm putting in some insurance in the nose cone. A small bullet head fishing weight....fits perfect...



The lead weight glued in and allowed to dry.

1/48 Su-27...coming together...

Not much to report but I did get the cockpit glued in and the two fuselage halves glued together. Some shots below...





Chip clips works wonders for making sure all the right spots are clamped together...

Finally, after staring at it for nearly two months, I'm into the Flanker. Some cockpit work and prelim construction. Pretty pleased so far...more pics to come.

The cockpit..hopefully this looks realistic when put into the fuselage.





Turbofan engines painted a silver/green grey mix...prob won't see these once the intakes go on.



The workbench...looks like someone puked up a bunch of Flanker parts!

Criterion...Re-animated...

Ok, so this is a new initiative on my part. Apparently there is an entire sub culture on the web for creating fake Criterion DVD covers. Just google FAKE CRITERION if you don't believe me. Anyway, Criterion's designs are some of the best in the business, and many people have taken it upon themselves to create their own for not-so-great films. It's a fun thing to look at from time to time, especially when someone comes up with something really inspired for a really bad film. So here is my first attempt, with the help of a criterion PSD template I found online...Enjoy!
