In the Mouth of Madness / 1995
John Carpenter directs an H.P. Lovecraft inspired story - starring Sam Neill, Jürgen Prochnow, Charlton Heston and Happy Gilmore's grandmother. Ha! Creepy and full of monsters, axe swinging crazy people and end-of-the-world fueled imagery. Had a lot of fun with this back in the day and it still mostly holds up 20 YEARS (!!!) later. Love what Carpenter constructed here and the acting, especially Neill's is wonderfully over-the-top and wild eyed throughout. I only wish we got to see more of those Old Ones...
