30 in 30...DAY 19...FREDDY'S DEAD - THE FINAL NIGHTMARE (1991)

The "final" installment in the Elm Street series. Freddy now has a daughter, his dad is played by Alice Cooper, and he gets to kill a few more teens (with almost no blood spilled) before finally getting blown to pieces...by a homemade pipe bomb. Snicker. It's almost like New Line was tired of the character and series and just wanted it over with. There's hardly any life or creativity here that was so abundant in earlier installments. Englund gets a more expanded role as we dive in to Freddy's past before his burning and he does the best with what he has here. Lisa Zane plays his now grown-up daughter and gets the last laugh. The movie cuts off like 10 seconds after she kills him. Oh well.

"Every town has an Elm Street."
