One of the best horror movies of the last decade. A French horror film that deals with pain, brutality and transcendence. This is not for the squeamish nor is it for anyone looking for a simple gorefest. It is much more than that, and will make one think long after the credits roll. To me, it is a modern companion piece to the original Hellraiser. That's not to say that it copies the 1987 classic, but it does share many of the same grotesque imagery and themes. I can't really say much else after that other than seek it out and watch it.
