NEW COMICS - THOR by Walter Simonson Volume 1 - TPB
Recommended by a friend, I picked up Volume One of the Marvel Collection of Walter Simonson's run on Thor. Beginning with issue #337 (1983) a strange alien known as Beta Ray Bill (is he a hillbilly?) steals Thor's Hammer and suit. Strange. Who is this guy and what's up with that ridiculous name?

Ive got that original Thor! I cant remember who or what Beta Ray Bill is, other than he is probably one of your fishing buddies!
looking forward to hearing what you think of this. i keep reading everywhere that simonson's run is the go-to as far as thor is concerned. but i will say that jason aaron's current thor series has been awesome since issue #1.
So far so good...Simonson comes highly recommended so I took a chance on it. Apparently there are up to FOUR TPBs collecting his run. I also need to check out the trade on the current run by Aaron.
