Fifth Annual 31 in 31...Day Eleven ..."We gotta do this now!"

The Walking Dead Season Six / 2015

Season 6 of The Walking Dead debuted last night, so it has become a tradition of mine with the 31 in 31 to feature the premiere episode each and every year...

The biggest episode yet in terms of scope and sheer number of walkers. Wow...can't wait to see where it all goes.

And continuing a new tradition from last year - creepy episodes from Star Trek's television run, all five series...

ST Voyager 3x18 / Darkling

The Doctor explores new subroutines in his behavior matrix and becomes corrupted with evil thoughts that lead to evil deeds. Some spooky scenes of the EMH sneaking around and threatening crew members as they slowly come to realize something is not quite right...

A good alter ego type episode - like something you'd see from the Twilight Zone or Outer Limits.

The EMH eventually goes after his fellow holograms before his system is purged - Yikes!

Fifth Annual 31 in 31...Day Ten ..."Let me guess... you guys are the local badasses?"

Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings / 1993

Somehow, this one slipped through the cracks and I had never seen it. Haha, I can't imagine why. Gone are all the things that made the first one a true cult classic monster film - Stan Winston's creature work (and direction), the atmosphere and above average acting, especially that of Lance Henriksen. Andrew Robinson (Hellraiser, ST Deep Space Nine) does his best here but that's about all I can say. Linnea Quigley makes a small cameo too...but mostly the creature looks like a rubber suit in several scenes, and the story is razor thin...but it's a fun and campy watch.

Yes, we know, Andy...

Hello there...

Fifth Annual 31 in 31...Day Nine..."The master wants you."

Salem's Lot / 1979 / TV

Still hard to believe this was a made for TV mini-series. One of the creepiest and moody horror adaptations in modern times. Barlow - "The Master" - is the Best. Vampire. Ever. The creature design owes a LOT to the original Nosferatu, but it DOES add a good but of nastiness to the established look. Also doesn't hurt that the actor they chose didn't need much work to get into costume...

That's the stuff of nightmares! One of the very best to watch at Halloween.

Don't Turn Away!

Fifth Annual 31 in 31...Day Eight..."Nothing goes over my head...! My reflexes are too fast, I would catch it." The Annual I DO WHAT I WANT 31 post...

Guardians of the Galaxy / 2014

One of the best, if not THE BEST Marvel movie to date. Lightning in a bottle.

And Dance Offs...

HAH!!!

Fifth Annual 31 in 31...Day Seven..."I will take you places you've never been. I will show you things that you have never seen and I will see the life run out of you."

Ghost Story / 1981

A classic tale of evil, revenge, and secret societies. A group of old men, including Fred Astaire(!), hold on to a terrible secret from their youth. Things begin to unravel as one of their offspring begins to dig for clues about a mysterious woman he meets and falls in love with – Alice Krige (the Borg Queen from ST First Contact) in one of her earliest roles. A very aged film, but it has roots in some of the older gothic horrors of the 60s and 70s. Cool makeup by maestro Dick Smith as well...

Poor Alice...

Weekend #inktober sketch dump...

Getting back into the groove...good output yesterday...

Ronan the Accuser, hater of dance-offs...

The Man of Your Dreams...my favorite of the lot

The Bride..isn't she beautiful?

Tombs of the Blind Dead. A very old school Spanish horror film series from the 70s...

Finished off with some Megatron goodness. "Such Heroic Nonsense..."

There has been an awakening...

Picked up one of the new Snap-Tite SW TFA models last weekend. Comes pre-painted and has lights and sound! Stands almost 7 inches tall. Awesome little kit and doesn't look like a cheap toy. Went together in about 10 minutes!
