1/48 Zeke...taping off panels...
Finishing up some detail before I future the Zero. Often in the harsh Pacific weather, certain panels would need to be replaced or weather differently from the rest of the plane during maintenance, etc. I like how this looks on other models - helps give the overall paint job some depth. Some shots of a few topside panels taped up to get the lines right.
Quick shot of the underside..wheels attached...
Fold up wing tips with photo etched ends inserted...very tiny, very hard to get just right...
Close-ups of the painted panels after tape removed. Not bad! A little bleed on the left wing, but with decals and weathering, I'm confident I can cover that up. Enjoy!
