1/48 Zeke...gettin dirty...
In the homestretch now...weathering and pilot figure painting commences...
Some prelim paint work on the pilots...undercoat of dark umber...highlighted with lighter shade of dark umber for folds, then khaki on chest vest and first coat of dark flesh on the faces and hands. These are still a bit rough - hopefully I can smooth them out with the detail work and a second coat of flesh tones.
First app of Flory models Dark Dirt weathering wash. A clay based nontoxic mix...I tried it on one of the rear stabilizers first and it seems to be pretty easy to work with. We shall see. A couple shots of the overall wash drying...
Test shot of wiped right rear stabilizer. Seems to be good!
