Ok, new set of projects here...never really painted before, at least since college. Simple acrylic on primed canvas. The wife wanted some "tree art" to litter the hallways and walls with so this was our first attempt. Started off with the yellow center and faded out to green, then the wife had the great idea of adding black/grey on the edges and then fading it in with a paper towel. Light circular rubbing seemed to blend it in nicely over the green. Then we painted a brown tree and added white highlights. Not bad for a first attempt...there's a first time for everything I guess...actual size is 9 x 12...

Now...I wanted to paint something of my own, so taking inspiration from the latest Eastern Front book that I read, here are some prelim war scenes...in colored pencil and crayon...
And here is the painted piece so far...just the background is done...not too bad...hopefully I don't screw this up!

Awesome stuff man - love the paint painting. Always good when your work can be put in the house!
