Shock Waves (1977) ... a nice find ...

While browsing the instant view queue on Netflix I came across this oldie and watched it last night. I've heard some good things about it in recent years - what a great little horror gem this turned out to be. For it to be made in 1977, it had some pretty well executed aspects - imagery, special effects, and tone/atmosphere. The story isn't anything special, Nazi super soldiers wake up and chase tourists on an island in the Caribbean...yeah, you heard that right...but all in all not a bad effort. Keep in mind, this came out BEFORE Dawn of the Dead...Halloween....and Alien. If you like obscure films with zombies...you should give this a try.

Oh, and Peter Cushing stars...yes, Grand Moff Tarkin himself...
