NEW DISPLAY CASE!

Been looking for a display case for months now and wow these things are expensive, esp since most that you find are in antique shops. Decided on this one after a lot of looking around and I'm pleased. Now I have to figure out how to photograph a display case...very hard to get a photo where you can't see everything in the mirror inside on the back!

The full case...right at 6 feet tall...

Light turned on, some of the best germans up top with some jets and an Enterprise just under those.

Bottom level...still working on these...may not keep these all in the case - vehicle models and Godzilla vinyls.

1/48 Zeke...Finally some progress...

Can't seem to get going yet on this one...but its only because the weather has been so nice lately. Getting some engine and cockpit pieces put together and painted. Fuselage should go together by the end of the week.

Cockpit chair, console and side bar. All green for now but the toothpicks will come out soon! May also try the super tiny decals for the console. Not sure I'm confident enough for that!

The Jungle Hunter revisited...

Second part of the new two pack. Jungle Hunter!

This is basically an Elder Predator body sculpt with improved articulation and an improved overall paint job. The head/face is also improved. Not bad even if it is a retread.

New Project!! Tamiya 1/48 scale Mitsubishi Zeke!

Started the new Zeke this weekend...not much progress other than getting everything laid out and ready to go. Small bit done on the first cockpit piece. Gonna get into it more this week. Gonna try a little something new - a new banner that I'm gonna try to post at the top of each new entry into the build. How does it look?

New Recruits!

New acquisition this weekend...the new two pack featuring the new Jungle Hunter and Battle Damaged City Hunter!

Some Zero reference...

Looking over some reference photos in prep for my next project - found these of another 1/48 scale 3a Zero. This is not my work - just posting for easy recall. I really like this faded and worn look...typical of Zeroes of the time period. I hope I can duplicate it in my own way.
