Various Star Trek...

I have so many Trek figures, ranging in quality from over the years...here are some of my current faves...

Viceroy from Star Trek: Nemesis played by Ron Perlman. Say what you will about the movie, but that's a great looking figure and extremely nice packaging.

Shran from Star Trek: Enterprise...hard to get a good pic of this one, but the Ent toys had a nice packaging design and notice this one's name baord is offset. Don't know if that's an error or what.

Assimilated Klingon from the Borg Assimilation line of figures. I'm pretty sure there were 3 or 4 of these, each a different alien species. Hands down best looking packaging on a Star Trek figure EVER. Resistance is Futile.

Mcfarlane Aliens and Predator...

Released a few years back, this Predator has been bested by some of the more recent items, BUT it is a cool design and the packaging is neat.

Best (and only affordable) Alien figure I own...from the best movie. Awesome packaging.

New Comics...7.8.11...

Light load last week BUT there is a large pile waiting to be picked up this week..I hate being poor but alas there were some goodies to be had...

And even though I didn't get this cover ($6 a pop - no thanks) I did like the image very much - alt cover to issue #4...

1/35 Sd.Kfz.222...starting up...

Getting started...lower hull and suspension wheel rod construction...plus some work on the upper hull, cannon, and cannon nest. Almost time for that first coat of dark base paint.

Netflix Instant strikes again...

This plays like a straight documentary of a fictional nuclear attack on Britain in the mid 1960s. At 47 minutes, its enough to give you a glimpse of the inevitable results of a land destroyed and nation thrown into chaos. Its not too long or preachy but drops you in the middle of random scenes of smoking debris, badly burned bodies, looting, riots, and the remnants of the government's attempts at keeping/restoring order, mostly with ill effect. This shows us what might happen, and it isn't pretty in any way, shape, or form. A great piece of documentary film, esp for 1965. Originally banned by the BBC, and while I don't condone censorship, I can certainly understand why it was done.
