Crap weekend but I managed to get a few drawings in...
First off, The New Blood Jason from reference. One of my favorite 80s horror makeups and a very fun and detailed one to draw.
Final contrast version...
"I must stop this Christmas from coming!" The Grinch in Pentel Pocket Brush pen...real quickie...

Weekend Dump....No, not that kind...
Got some new pens and as a result, a lot of varied output/practice this weekend.
First off, the Imperial Special Forces. What? You don't set your SW toys up and draw from reference?
Predator 2 turns 25 years old this week. Dang I'm old! Found this great Pred bio pic online so I used it for reference. Really trying not to use so many black lines in more stuff...used mostly color and white pen to bring out the detail here.
Want some Candy?
And of course, I had to get another WW2 airplane picture in...Japanese Rufe Floatplane circa 1944.
A bit more contrast on this one.
Onward...

Landscape practice...
"So I ran from this, as much as anything else. I ran for the solitude, the whiteness of the snow, the brutal indifference of towering trees and tiny winter stars."
-Anne Rice
Something a little different for me...some landscape practice taken from the opening chapter of a new book I'm reading. I don't know...perhaps more to come...

Weekend Practice and a special tribute...
The horror world lost another true icon this weekend...Gunnar Hansen, who played Leatherface in the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre - passed away at the age of 68. I saw him in the flesh not 6 months ago at a convention, but was unable to meet him at the time. Missed opportunity I guess. Scariest madman. EVER. There will never be another. Rest in Peace.
A quickie 4x4 snow trooper...you may start your landing...
Thought about not posting these, as they are truly just rough studies and not very good...using The Crow as reference...white pencil on black paper.
This one is ok, even though he looks like he just took a Benadryl. Heh.

Kamikaze and a quickie Sith...
This might be my fave so far on the brown paper...mixed media - pen, marker, and white colored pencil. Kamikaze taking a direct hit in December 1943 - from a very famous WW2 photo.
And a quickie Sith guy...
Put a bit more contrast in this first one...
Full shot...
