NEW PROJECT! Dragon Models 1:72 Scale Focke-Wulf Ta152 H-1
Scored this at the local hobby shop today. Had my eye on a model of this type of airplane for a few years now and I finally pulled the trigger. I've constructed other Focke-Wulfs before, but this one has the unique "extra-long wing" which I really like. I wanted a quick and simple build so I went with 1:72 since that is A) all they had and B) 1:48s in this plane are nearly impossible to find.
This model also had photo-etch parts which I am learning to like more and more plus there is an option to showcase the engine with an open cowling. I'm thinking I'm gonna go that route as well. Should be fun!

Memorial Day 2013
My friend Jay over at The Raptor's Nest had an excellent post on this - thought I would add to it.
One of my favorite images ever...
This guy recently retired from my wife's office - he was a ww2 veteran and only has half of one leg left from shrapnel wounds. Every year he would dress up like this...this morning, he greeted all of the employees as they drove in. Bravo, sir. And Thank You.
Thank you veterans, each and every one.

1/72 Ki67...Getting there...
Getting it done with the Peggy...Got the Dull Coat on after the wheels and torpedo were installed. Now I'm detailing and adding things on like the tall antenna just above the cockpit and the open canopy glasses. Sheesh these are small parts. Also you can see the (cracked) nose cone painted and glued on.
Top view of the weathering.
