Since this model is from 1990, most of the box art found online is really crappy, but for now this will have to do! I'm pretty sure I shot one of these down in Battlefield 3 last night - HAH! Hope to get some in progress shots up soon!

The Minimalist Approach...Tis the Season...
In celebration of Halloween today...the first two of hopefully many horror posters. It's the most wonderful time of the year!
30 Films in 30 Days...Day 28..."He's Come Home."
HALLOWEEN (1978). The Godfather of them all. It works because its simple. Just about everything else is derivative of this. No Halloween is complete without this film.
Good ole Jamie Lee...

30 Films in 30 Days...Day 27...Happy happy halloween...
Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1983). Officially part of the "Michael Myers" series of films...this one has NOTHING to do with the masked killer. A curious choice but once that pays off in a fun film nevertheless. Pretty sure this one was blasted by fans and critics back in the days but if viewed as a film not named "Halloween" its actually not that bad. Watch out for those catchy halloween commercials, kids!!!

30 Films in 30 Days...Day 26...jeeez.
Sleepaway Camp (1983). Such a classic "campy" film. See what I did there?
So much 80s love in this picture...I am speechless.
Yikes!

30 Films in 30 Days...Day Twenty-Five...A different kind of animal.
An American Werewolf in London (1981). Classic campy and sometimes gruesome monster movie from the early 80s. Features the first really spectacular full body wolf transformation on film. Holds up pretty well even today considering it was all practical effects. Don't take this too seriously, and you'll have a lot of fun with it.

30 Films in 30 Days...Day Twenty-Four...This TIme Its War.
ALIENS (1986). James Cameron makes a sequel that not only surpasses the fantastic original but stands as a film all its own. Sigourney Weaver returns as Ripley along with so many memorable characters - Hicks, Hudson, Newt, Bishop, Vasquez, Apone. Great moment after great moment as this films is FULL of the some of the greatest action horror scenes ever. Wonderful score by James Horner. Colonial Marines going off and getting offed by hordes of Aliens. Pulse Rifles. The Queen. The powerloader fight. One of my all time top 5. In so many ways, a perfect film.

Evil Ash
"Swallow your soul...swallow your soul..."
"Give me back my HAND!!!"
The one who has come from the skies to deliver us from the evil of the Deadites...
30 Films in 30 Days...Day Twenty-Two..."The answer is no, I am therefore going anyway."
Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984). Ok, let me just say - it was on HBO Saturday afternoon - what was I supposed to do not watch it? One of the greats of my time on this here earth. May the wind be at our backs - stations please.
"No."
"Klingon bird of prey sir, she's arming torpedoes."
"Goodbye, David."
"Mr. Sulu you're on manual."
"It's been a while sir, here we go."
"The ship...out of danger?"
*sniff*
